Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut Special Education Certification required (out-of-state certificates, including NY, not accepted)
• Prior school-based teaching experience as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience in co-taught or inclusive classrooms preferred
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Strong commitment to fostering an engaging, supportive learning environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Co-plan and deliver differentiated instruction for a diverse group of 3rd grade learners
• Collaborate daily with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Implement IEP goals and support individualized learning plans
• Use data and progress monitoring to inform instructional decisions
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that promotes student confidence and growth
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings, as needed
