Special Ed Teacher - Brockton, Massachusetts

A Special Education Teacher is sought for a maternity leave contract at a middle school serving grades 6 through 8. This role involves managing a caseload of 25-30 students, providing both push-in and pull-out group instruction. The primary focus will be on teaching reading, writing, and phonics, utilizing the Wilsons program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction in reading, writing, and phonics to students with special education needs.
• Manage a caseload of 25-30 middle school students.
• Provide push-in support within general education classrooms and facilitate pull-out group sessions.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to tailor instructional approaches to individual student needs.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Special Education Teacher or Reading Specialist certification.
• Experience working with middle school students (grades 6-8).
• Familiarity with Wilsons reading and phonics program is preferred.
• Ability to manage varied instructional settings, including push-in and pull-out models.

Location: Brockton, MA
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4-8 hours per day
Contract Duration: Maternity leave coverage through 12/1/2025
