This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Resource Teacher serving students in grades 3-5. The position involves providing specialized instruction in reading, writing, and math to a classroom of 20 students, as well as case managing 15 students, including 5 speech-only cases. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, supporting a structured school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction in reading, writing, and math for grades 3-5 students with special education needs
- Manage and oversee Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for 15 students, including coordinating services for 5 students requiring speech therapy only
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement accommodations and modifications
- Monitor student progress and adjust plans to improve academic outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and communication with families and school professionals
Qualifications/Experience:
- Certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (grades 3-5)
- Ability to manage caseloads and coordinate speech therapy services
- Strong skills in reading, writing, and math instruction tailored to special education
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
