An engaging opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in elementary education within a center-based Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) classroom. This contract position is designed for the current school year, serving students from Kindergarten through 4th grade in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to the unique needs of 11 students with emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate effectively with a team of three paraprofessionals to create a positive and structured learning atmosphere.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with special education standards and student needs.
- Communicate regularly with families and school leadership to monitor progress and adjust strategies.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student growth and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably within an EBD setting.
- Strong understanding of behavior intervention techniques and inclusive educational practices.
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
