This opportunity calls for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support 5th and 6th grade students in a K-12 school setting. The role involves working primarily in a resource and pull-out classroom environment, managing a caseload of approximately 10 students. This full-time, contract position offers a dynamic and rewarding experience from immediate start through May 27th.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students in a resource and pull-out setting.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for a caseload of about 10 students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support students’ academic and social development.
- Track and report student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with elementary and middle school students, especially in grades 5 and 6.
- Ability to manage small caseloads effectively within resource and pull-out room settings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive learning atmosphere for diverse learners.
Location: Busby, MT
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
