An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in high school education, located in Cambridge, MA. This contract position spans the full school year, providing the chance to make a significant impact on students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of high school students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Manage classroom behavior and promote social and academic growth.
- Utilize specialized instructional techniques and assistive technology to enhance learning outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with high school students in a special education setting.
- Strong knowledge of current special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to develop and manage IEPs and conduct educational assessments.
