This full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year in a K-8 school setting located in Cambridge, MA. The position requires dedication to educating students in grades 1 through 8 with moderate disabilities and offers a structured daily schedule from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with moderate disabilities across grades 1-8
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth and development
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators regarding student needs and progress
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Moderate Disabilities teaching certification for PreK-8
- Successful completion of fingerprinting and CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) background checks
- Experience in special education teaching preferred, with a commitment to fostering student success
Position Details:
- Contract position for the 2025-2026 school year
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Daily schedule: 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday
- Located in Cambridge, MA
