A regional school district in Massachusetts is seeking qualified special education teachers to provide instructional support at the middle and high school levels. These full-time contract roles are ideal for educators with moderate special education licensure and experience working with secondary students.
Locations and assignments include:
- High school (grades 9-12): Two full-time positions available, with work hours from 7:30 AM to 2:10 PM. Contracts extend through June 2026.
- Middle school (grades 6-8): One full-time position available, with work hours from 7:50 AM to 2:40 PM. Contract extends through March 2026.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Moderate special education teaching license required
- Proven experience supporting secondary students within special education settings
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working within interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ individual learning goals
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to promote growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with district policies
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
