An opportunity is available for a full-time Elementary Special Education Teacher in Cambridge, MN, serving students in grades K-1. This contract position offers a dynamic role within an elementary school environment that utilizes a cross-categorical instructional model. The focus is on providing resource and center-based support to meet diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction tailored to K-1 students with special education needs.
• Implement a cross-categorical teaching approach to address multiple disabilities.
• Develop and maintain IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide resource and center-based supports to facilitate student learning and social development.
• Monitor student progress and adapt instructional methods accordingly.
• Work closely with general education staff to promote inclusive practices.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state of Minnesota.
• Experience working with K-1 students in a special education setting.
• Knowledge of cross-categorical instruction and resource-based educational models.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to start immediately and commit for the current school year (CSY).
