Special Ed Teacher | Chicago, Illinois

A full-time Special Education Teacher is needed for a K-12 school in Chicago, IL, starting ASAP through May 28, 2026. This contract position focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to students in a resource middle school setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Illinois Special Education Teacher Certificate
• Experience working with K-12 students in special education programs
• Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in compliance with state regulations
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
