Seeking an Early Elementary Special Education Teacher for a full-time, contract position from December through June in an elementary school setting in Chicago, IL. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting a small caseload of approximately 10 students ranging from Kindergarten to 3rd Grade. Students served have diverse needs, including Autism, Developmental Delay (DD), and Other Health Impairments (OHI).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with staff through direct mentorship and designated weekly time for paperwork and support
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support student progress
Qualifications:
- Valid LBS1 Licensure is required for consideration
- Experience working with early elementary students with disabilities, particularly Autism, DD, or OHI
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage caseload and collaborate with colleagues
- Commitment to inclusive education and student success
