An opportunity is available for a certified Special Education Teacher to support middle school students as an Intervention Specialist. This full-time, contract position offers a collaborative work environment with supportive staff and flexible classroom settings, including self-contained and push-in/pull-out models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students' specific needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive learning environments
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Maintain detailed records and communicate effectively with parents and administrators
- Facilitate classroom management and foster a positive, supportive atmosphere for all students
Qualifications and Experience:
- State certification as an Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators and specialists
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with various instructional strategies for special education students
