Special Ed Teacher | Cleveland, Ohio

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a 5th-grade elementary classroom in Cleveland, OH. This full-time contract position spans from late February through the end of May, with the possibility of renewal for the next school year based on performance.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating closely with two co-teachers to deliver instruction in a co-teaching environment.
• Providing targeted support by pulling students for specialized instruction focused on IEP service minutes.
• Implementing Wilson Reading program strategies to enhance literacy skills.
• Managing and supporting a caseload of 18 students with diverse learning needs.
• Participating actively in classroom planning, assessment, and student progress monitoring.

Qualifications and experience desired:

• Certification and experience in Special Education, preferably working with elementary-aged students.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-teaching setting.
• Strong understanding of IEP compliance and educational best practices.
• Familiarity with evidence-based reading programs such as Wilson Reading.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff, families, and students.
