A Special Education Teacher is needed for a full contract school year position serving K-12 students in Clinton Township, MI. This role supports diverse learners by providing individualized instruction and accommodations to meet each student’s unique needs in a classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored instructional plans for students with special needs.
- Collaborate with paraeducators (3 assigned paras) to support student learning and classroom management.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration to facilitate student success.
- Ensure compliance with all special education laws, regulations, and individualized education program (IEP) requirements.
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher.
- Experience teaching K-12 special education students.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and other educators.
- Knowledge of current special education laws and best instructional practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
