An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students within a K-12 school setting in Colorado Springs, CO. This full-semester contract position provides a chance to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of students requiring specialized instruction and assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instructional plans tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement effective educational strategies
  • Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, adjusting methods as needed to achieve learning goals
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with educational regulations and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and participation

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education or relevant licensure for the state of Colorado
  • Experience working with K-12 students with diverse learning needs and disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and instructional best practices
  • Effective communication skills to engage with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics and maintain a positive, organized learning environment

Location: Position is based in Colorado Springs, CO, serving a full K-12 school.
