A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in a middle school setting in Condon, OR. This contract role focuses on case managing a caseload of approximately 22 middle and high school students (grades 6-12) with varying special education needs, primarily resource room levels with some structured learning center students. The school provides a supportive small-school environment, including one other Special Education teacher serving elementary students and four instructional assistants working within the Special Education department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for approximately 22 students in grades 6-12
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to students’ individual learning needs
- Collaborate with instructional assistants, general education teachers, and school staff to support student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Oregon Special Education Teaching License
- Experience working with middle and high school students in special education settings
- Strong case management and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment within a small school setting
