Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Special Education required
- Current, active teaching license in the state
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with disabilities, developmental delays, and Autism
- Comfortable assisting with toileting and personal care as needed
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to foster a positive learning environment and adapt to individual student needs
What You’ll Do:
- Manage a classroom of 32 students with varying abilities and needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom staff, support personnel, and families
- Deliver differentiated instruction and adapt lessons to meet emotional, academic, and behavioral needs
- Provide direct support to students, including occasional 1:1 assistance and daily living support
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere
- Maintain progress records and complete necessary documentation
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as needed
This full-time contract offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, with workdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm, and a half day every other Friday—supportive of work-life balance within the school setting.
