Desired Skills and Requirements:
- Active California Mild/Moderate Special Education teaching credential required
- Previous experience as a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) teacher, including independent case management
- Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads of up to 28 students across K-8th grade
- Comfortable working in varying environments—general education classrooms and dedicated pull-out spaces
- Strong organizational skills for tracking progress, compliance, and documentation
- Capability to begin with minimal training or additional support
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized academic support and interventions as outlined in students’ IEPs
- Manage a case load of up to 23, with 4 pending, ensuring compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum and modify instruction
- Develop and update IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Effectively communicate and build relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and professional development as needed
