Special Education Teacher in Dearborn, MI

A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Dearborn, MI for the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students with special needs
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and special education laws

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in an elementary school setting
• Develop, monitor, and update individualized education plans tailored to each student’s unique learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in team meetings and parent conferences
• Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles
