Special Education Teacher in Dearborn, MI

A licensed Special Education Teacher is sought for a part-time position in a K-12 school serving students in Dearborn, MI. This full semester contract role centers on delivering tailored instruction and support to students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and accommodations under 504 Plans.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing specialized instruction and support services aligned with students’ IEPs and 504 accommodations.
• Collaborating with general education teachers to modify curriculum and integrate necessary accommodations.
• Monitoring, documenting, and reporting on student progress toward IEP and 504 goals and objectives.
• Maintaining regular communication with parents, staff members, and administrators to foster student academic and social success.
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal laws governing special education and Section 504 guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching license or certification.
• Experience working with K-12 students with diverse learning needs.
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
