Special Ed Teacher - Dearborn, Michigan

A full-semester contract opportunity is available for two Special Education Teachers to support elementary-level students. This role involves working within specialized classrooms focused on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Cognitive Impairment (CI), serving a diverse caseload across multiple grade levels.

• Immediate placement through June 5, 2026

Schedule:

• Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students with special needs in ASD and CI settings.
• Manage classrooms for 2nd/3rd and 4th/5th grade levels, ensuring compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and support staff.
• Uphold state licensure requirements and classroom standards.

Qualifications:

• Active Michigan Special Education license required.
• Experience teaching elementary students with ASD and CI preferred.
• Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
