Special Education Teacher - Denver, CO

This contract opportunity offers multiple full-time special education teaching roles across various schools in the Denver area. Positions focus on K-12 students with diverse learning needs within a dynamic school district.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to students with affective needs, significant cognitive challenges, and general learning difficulties.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with each student’s strengths and goals.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and specialists to create inclusive learning environments.
• Monitor student progress, adjust strategies as needed, and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) certification in Special Education required.
• Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings; range of experience welcomed from entry-level (0-2 years) to veteran educators (10+ years).
• Ability to address diverse needs including affective and significant support needs.
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset.

Assignment Details:

• Contract duration: ASAP start through end of school year 2026, with specific assignments varying by school and role.
• Locations include Rocky Mountain Elementary, Thunder Vista P-8, Century Middle School, and Thornton Middle School.
• Full-time schedule, typically 35+ hours per week, on-site in the Denver metropolitan area.
