Located in Denver, CO, this full-time Special Education Teacher position offers a rewarding opportunity to support students in a resource classroom setting at a high school. The role begins as soon as possible and continues through May 22, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs within the resource classroom.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with alternative standards.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow educators, therapists, and support staff to create and maintain an effective IEP team.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and special designed instruction techniques to enhance student learning.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and compliance with special education regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Professional Teacher License with a Generalist Endorsement (5-21) is required.
  • License must explicitly state: Professional Teacher License #000000, Endorsed In: Special Education Generalist (5-21).
  • Candidates with traveler, substitute, temporary, interim, or similar licenses will not be considered unless the appropriate SPED license with the correct endorsement has been applied for with proof.
  • Extensive knowledge of the IEP process and demonstrated experience in supporting students on alternative standards.
  • Strong instructional practices and strategies in special education.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
