A full-semester opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a preschool special education classroom within a K-12 school setting. This position provides essential coverage during a planned staff leave, ensuring continuity of specialized instruction for young learners. The role is located in a suburban area of Pennsylvania, serving students with diverse educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to preschool students with special needs, addressing individual learning goals.
- Manage classroom activities during morning and afternoon sessions, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with educational standards.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing classroom atmosphere conducive to early childhood development.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid special education teaching certification.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in special education settings.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and special education methodologies.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with students, parents, and interdisciplinary teams.

Work Schedule:
- Full-semester commitment.
- Daily hours from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with student sessions from 8:00 to 10:30 AM and 12:20 to 2:50 PM.
