A full-semester opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a preschool special education classroom within a K-12 school setting. This position provides essential coverage during a planned staff leave, ensuring continuity of specialized instruction for young learners. The role is located in a suburban area of Pennsylvania, serving students with diverse educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction to preschool students with special needs, addressing individual learning goals.
  • Manage classroom activities during morning and afternoon sessions, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with educational standards.
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing classroom atmosphere conducive to early childhood development.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid special education teaching certification.
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children in special education settings.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and special education methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with students, parents, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple sessions and maintain structured routines throughout the day.

Location:

  • Position is based near Doylestown, Pennsylvania, within a school serving grades K-12.
  • Classroom located at 630 Interchange Rd, Kresgeville, PA 18058.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-semester commitment.
  • Daily hours from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with student sessions from 8:00 to 10:30 AM and 12:20 to 2:50 PM.
