A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction within resource settings for students in grades 6 through 12. Both part-time and full-time assignments are offered, providing flexibility to meet varying scheduling needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique learning requirements.
- Deliver specialized instruction using evidence-based teaching strategies in resource settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Monitor student progress, adjust strategies as needed, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and independence.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with middle and high school students (grades 6-12) in resource classrooms.
- Strong understanding of K-12 special education laws and best practices.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and provide accommodations/modifications.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Location:
- Eden Prairie, Minnesota, within the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
Compensation:
- $36 per hour.
