A full-semester special education teaching opportunity is available at an onsite elementary school program focused on behavioral and cross-categorical support. This position serves students primarily identified with Emotional Behavioral Disorders, with a caseload of approximately 8-10 students, requiring expertise in behavioral strategies and collaborative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement behavior plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Establish classroom structures and routines that promote positive behavior and learning.
  • Deliver strong, individualized instruction aligned with students’ academic and behavioral goals.
  • Collaborate closely with special education and general education colleagues to support inclusive practices.
  • Coordinate schedules and work alongside paraprofessionals to maximize student success.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and professional communication at all times.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential in Special Education, holding any of the following endorsements:
    • Autism Spectrum Disorders
    • Developmental Disabilities
    • Early Childhood Special Education
    • Emotional Behavioral Disorders
    • Learning Disabilities
    • Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (optional)
  • Proven ability to apply effective behavioral management and instructional strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in cross-categorical programs.
  • Commitment to teamwork and collaborative student support.
  • Experience working in site-based elementary programs preferred.

Location: This role is based onsite in Burnsville, Minnesota, within an elementary school setting.
