Elementary Special Education Teacher in Eden Prairie, MN

An elementary special education teacher with expertise in behavior support is needed to lead a social-emotional learning classroom. This in-person, contract role focuses on supporting students with autism and emotional or behavioral disorders through structured routines and social-emotional skill development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a caseload of approximately 12 elementary students with special education needs
• Collaborating closely with two assigned paraprofessional support staff
• Implementing behavior regulation strategies and individualized behavior support plans
• Designing and delivering instruction tailored to social-emotional learning objectives
• Maintaining a structured classroom environment that fosters student growth and engagement

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Valid teaching license in special education
• Demonstrated expertise in behavior support and behavior regulation techniques
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum and those with emotional or behavioral disorders
• Ability to establish and maintain structured routines that promote social-emotional learning
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with paraprofessionals and other educational team members
