A K-12 school in Edwardsville, IL is seeking Special Education Teachers for a contract position during the current school year (CSY). There are openings available in each level: Elementary, Middle School, and High School. Teachers will support 2-3 cross-categorical special education classrooms, providing tailored instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and support to K-12 students in special education settings
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement IEPs
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate a wide range of learning needs
  • Adhere to school policies, procedures, and special education regulations
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience working with students across elementary, middle, or high school levels preferred
  • Knowledge of cross-categorical special education strategies and interventions
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of students with disabilities

Location: Edwardsville, IL (K-12 school setting)
