A K-12 Special Education Teacher/Coordinator position is available in Elgin, SC, for the upcoming school year under a contract arrangement. This role requires a South Carolina licensed or certified Special Education professional dedicated to supporting students with individualized education plans (IEPs) and working collaboratively alongside classroom teachers and families.
Key responsibilities include managing and implementing IEPs for approximately 25 students, with some receiving additional Speech and Occupational Therapy services. The caseload is expected to increase by 5-10 students in the next school year. Successful candidates will conduct IEP meetings involving parents and educators, requiring strong communication skills and a collaborative approach. Flexibility with scheduling is essential to meet the needs of students and families effectively.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- South Carolina Special Education license or certification required
- Proven experience working with K-12 students with disabilities
