Special Ed Teacher - Elk Grove, California

A public elementary school in Elk Grove, CA is seeking a Special Education teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, direct hire position focuses on providing extensive support to students with autism in a special day class setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ skills, learning styles, and individual needs to develop tailored educational goals
• Create, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with specific goals, services, and accommodations
• Adapt and modify general education curriculum to meet the needs of students with disabilities
• Collaborate with staff, families, and related service providers to optimize student support

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
• Valid California Education Specialist Credential (ESN or Mild/Moderate/Severe) required
• Experience working with students with extensive support needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum, is highly preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
