What You’ll Bring:
- Current Minnesota State Licensure in Special Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education
- Experience working with students requiring intensive behavioral interventions
- Knowledge of various disability areas, including Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (EBD), Other Health Disabilities (OHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Blind/Visually Impaired (BVI)
- Compassionate approach with strong classroom management and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instruction and programming to meet diverse needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead instruction for a caseload of approximately 10 elementary students (primarily 2nd–5th grade, with K–5 possible)
- Create and implement individualized education plans focusing on behavioral and academic goals
- Collaborate closely with up to 7 educational assistants to ensure a supportive, high staff-to-student ratio
- Facilitate reintegration for students transitioning into mainstream classes throughout the day, while providing ongoing support for those remaining primarily in the center-based setting
- Address a range of disability needs with empathy and creativity
- Maintain communication and positive relationships with families, peers, and school staff to support student progress.
