Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with special needs in a resource classroom environment.
  • Implement Specially Designed Instruction aligned with alternative standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with IEP team members, including teachers, administrators, and support staff.
  • Manage the IEP process, demonstrating a thorough understanding of legal and educational requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Current Colorado Department of Education Professional Teacher License with Special Education Generalist endorsement (5-21).
  • Applicants must already hold or have applied for the appropriate SPED license with proof; substitute, temporary, interim, or travel licenses will not be considered.
  • Deep knowledge of instructional practices and strategies specific to special education.
  • Strong experience supporting students working on alternative standards.
  • Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively regarding student goals and progress.
  • Candidates must be prepared to discuss their teaching approach and IEP process experience during the interview.
