Special Education Teacher - Flemington, NJ

A middle school is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to fill a short-term leave position through April 30, 2026, located in Flemington, NJ. This contract opportunity involves working with a manageable caseload and supporting students with disabilities in a full-time capacity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 35-50 students, teaching five classes over two days with 7-10 students per class.
• Deliver specialized instruction in Language and Learning Disabilities (LLD) and Early Reading Intervention (ERI) classes.
• Collaborate with staff to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and support staff.

Qualifications:

• Valid Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) certification or Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TSD) certification with subject area endorsement.
• Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting is preferred.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage students with a variety of learning challenges.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Middle School setting in Flemington, New Jersey.
