Special Education Teacher - Forest Grove, OR

A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in a K-12 school located in Forest Grove, OR. This contract position, spanning the current school year, is ideal for an educator experienced in supporting elementary students through Resource and Functional Life Skills programs.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities
• Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive learning environments
• Providing specialized instruction and interventions to support students’ academic and functional skill development
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Communicating regularly with families to discuss student goals and progress

Qualifications:

• Valid Oregon Teaching License with Special Education Endorsement required
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings, specifically Resource and Functional Life Skills programs
• Strong understanding of state and federal special education laws and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

This position offers 37.5 hours per week during the contracted school year.
