3rd Grade 1st Grade Special Ed Teacher | Fostoria, Ohio

A full-semester contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Kindergarten through 3rd grade, focusing on a K-3 behavior classroom. This role involves working with young learners who benefit from specialized behavioral support and tailored educational strategies to promote growth and development.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs in a behavior-focused classroom.
• Managing classroom behavior and creating a supportive learning environment.
• Collaborating with other educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support.
• Monitoring and documenting student progress regularly.
• Engaging with students’ families to provide updates and strategies for continued development.

Qualifications:

• Active Intervention Specialist License in Ohio.
• Previous experience teaching in behavior classrooms within an elementary setting.
• Proven success in managing classrooms with students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with colleagues and families.

This opportunity offers full-time work at approximately 7.5 hours per day over 182 days, aligned with the school calendar.
