Special Education Teacher - Framingham, MA

A certified Special Education Teacher is needed for a K-12 school serving students with moderate disabilities. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a multi-aged classroom setting with a caseload of 7 students. The role requires dedication to providing in-person instruction and specialized support tailored to individual learning needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with moderate disabilities
• Delivering differentiated instruction in an inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborating with general education staff, therapists, and families to support student progress
• Monitoring student development and maintaining accurate records
• Managing classroom behavior and fostering a positive learning atmosphere

Qualifications:

• Certification in Special Education (RI or Massachusetts)
• Experience working with K-12 students with moderate disabilities preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, strategies, and best practices
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage a small caseload with multi-aged students

Location: Framingham, MA
Contract Duration: Approximately 3 months starting ASAP, with potential extension through the end of the school year
