A contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher to support an elementary school setting in Frederick, MD for the upcoming school year.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Provide direct instruction and interventions to students with disabilities.
- Communicate regularly with parents, administrators, and related service providers.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification/license.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students receiving special education services.
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Location: Frederick, Maryland
Duration: Full school year contract
