A K–12 school in Gardner, MA is seeking two licensed Special Education Teachers to support students on the autism spectrum and in resource room settings. These contract positions span the current school year and focus on delivering specialized instruction to meet Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
The first role is for a Special Education Teacher in a K–1 sub-separate classroom for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This position requires designing and delivering individualized lessons that promote communication and social skills development, while actively collaborating with staff and families to foster student growth.
Qualifications for the K–1 ASD role include:
- State-appropriate Special Education teaching license
- Experience working with students with ASD preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational abilities
The second position is for a Special Education Teacher in a high school resource room environment. Responsibilities include providing targeted academic instruction, managing IEP caseloads, and supporting student success across specialized and general education settings.
Qualifications for the high school resource role include:
- State-appropriate Special Education teaching license
- Experience with high school special education students preferred
- Proficiency in IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
