Special Ed Teacher - Grand Haven, Michigan

A K-12 educational opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher in Grand Haven, MI. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and involves working with diverse student populations across two distinct roles.

Responsibilities include:

• Role 1: Providing exceptional educational support to Early Childhood Special Education (EC Sped) students, tailoring instruction to meet developmental needs.
• Role 2: Delivering specialized education to high school students aged 15-19 within a Multiple Agency or Intermediate School District (MAISD) setting, addressing complex academic and behavioral goals.
• Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for students.
• Maintaining accurate records and participating in regular progress assessments.
• Engaging families and caregivers to support student development and success.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification with experience in early childhood and secondary special education.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students aged 0-19 in inclusive and specialized settings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple caseloads.
• Knowledge of state and federal special education regulations and best practices.
