Special Education Teacher - Grand Prairie, TX

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a 1st-grade student with severe behavioral needs in an elementary school setting. This contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through one-on-one instruction and behavioral support during the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support tailored to the student’s unique needs
• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans to support positive behavioral outcomes
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote academic and social growth
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of behavioral and educational milestones
• Maintain a safe, structured, and encouraging learning environment

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification and experience working with students with severe behavioral challenges
• Preference for candidates comfortable with one-on-one instructional roles
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to student-centered teaching strategies
• Experience working with young children, particularly at the elementary level, is highly desirable
