Special Ed Teacher - Granite City, Illinois

A K-12 school in Granite City, IL is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to fill contracted assignments for the current school year. Qualified candidates will serve in 2-3 cross-categorical special education classrooms with openings available at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for K-12
• Experience working in cross-categorical special education settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of IDEA and special education laws and regulations
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet varied student needs and learning styles
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
