A contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in mild to moderate needs, focusing on middle school students. This role is based in Greeley, CO, and involves managing a caseload of approximately 25-30 sixth-grade students. The position is scheduled for the current school year, with hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week. The assignment starts as soon as possible and continues through May 22, 2026.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs within a mild/moderate special education framework
- Managing case files and coordinating services for assigned students
- Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintaining documentation and progress reports in compliance with state regulations
- Supporting the social and emotional development of middle school students
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Special Education License with certification in Special Education
- Experience working with middle school students requiring mild to moderate support is preferred
- Strong case management skills and ability to handle a caseload efficiently
