An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work full-time in a high school setting, serving students in grades 9 through 12. This contract position begins on August 6th and will span the entire academic year. The role involves managing a caseload of 15-20 students within a resource classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide targeted instruction and support to high school students in a resource classroom
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with high school students (grades 9-12), preferably in a resource classroom setting
- Strong understanding of special education laws, instructional strategies, and IEP development
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
Location:
- Grove Hill, Alabama
