Special Education Teacher - Grovetown, GA

An opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher to support middle and high school students with diverse learning needs. This position requires working onsite Monday through Friday for 40 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible through May 29, 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience with behavioral interventions and a passion for fostering student growth in a K-12 educational setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education certification as required by the district
• Experience working with middle and high school students
• Strong background in behavioral management strategies preferred
• Ability to support students with Autism and interrelated disabilities
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and students
• Commitment to onsite work in compliance with district requirements

Location:

• Augusta, GA
• Support positions available at multiple schools including middle and high schools

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
• Collaborate with school staff to create inclusive learning environments
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly
• Provide behavioral support and interventions as necessary
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all district policies
