Key Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota Special Education Teacher Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required)
  • Proven experience or training working with emotional and behavioral disorders at the middle school level
  • Ability to create inclusive, differentiated lesson plans and provide individualized support
  • Strong classroom management skills and a compassionate, student-focused approach
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Must be able to work onsite and provide certification and resume for consideration

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction tailored to students with emotional and behavioral needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with families and school professionals
  • Monitor student progress, adapt strategies, and document outcomes consistently
  • Foster a safe, positive, and respectful classroom environment
  • Liaise with counselors, therapists, and other staff for holistic student support
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding goals and progress
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and multidisciplinary discussions
