Key Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Special Education Teacher Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required)
- Proven experience or training working with emotional and behavioral disorders at the middle school level
- Ability to create inclusive, differentiated lesson plans and provide individualized support
- Strong classroom management skills and a compassionate, student-focused approach
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Must be able to work onsite and provide certification and resume for consideration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction tailored to students with emotional and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with families and school professionals
- Monitor student progress, adapt strategies, and document outcomes consistently
- Foster a safe, positive, and respectful classroom environment
- Liaise with counselors, therapists, and other staff for holistic student support
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding goals and progress
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and multidisciplinary discussions
