A Special Education Teacher is needed to support K-12 students in a contract role for the academic school year. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse learners requiring tailored educational approaches within a collaborative school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with special education needs in Early Childhood (EC) and High School programs.
- Develop and implement appropriate educational plans aligned with students’ individual goals and state standards.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to maximize learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services and interventions.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with special education requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with Early Childhood special education students.
- Experience teaching adolescents aged 15-19 in a High School setting, with knowledge of MAISD guidelines preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a contract school year assignment.
