Special Ed Teacher | Shawnee, Kansas

Dedicated professionals are sought for a contract position focused on providing Extended School Year (ESY) services in a K-12 environment. This role involves serving students with diverse educational needs from May 28 to June 26, 2025.

Qualifications:

• Active Kansas teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Demonstrated experience in teaching students with special needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborative mindset to work effectively with staff and families

Location:

Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored instructional support to students with varying special education needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring that each student’s goals are met
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote an inclusive learning environment
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
• Participate in professional development opportunities as required
