A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available for an Early Childhood Special Education instructor serving Pre-K students. This contract role, based in Kansas City, KS, focuses on supporting young learners with special needs in an elementary school setting. The position runs from ASAP through May 22, 2026, providing consistent educational services throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and interventions to Pre-K students with special needs
- Manage a caseload ranging from 8 to 18 students, adapting strategies to individual requirements
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional plans accordingly
- Support inclusive classroom environments promoting social, emotional, and academic growth
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification in Special Education, with a focus on Early Childhood preferred
- Experience working with Pre-K age children in special education settings
- Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for young learners
- Ability to manage and coordinate a moderate caseload effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Location:

- Priority placement at the KCK Early Childhood Center
Work Schedule and Duration:
- Full time, 37.5 hours per week
