A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for a K-12 school located in Kenner, LA. This contract opportunity runs through the current school year, with a start date as soon as possible and an end date on May 22, 2026. The role requires an active Louisiana Department of Education certification in Special Education.
Responsibilities include providing tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a K-12 setting, collaborating with staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and maintaining accurate records. You will work Monday through Friday, following the school calendar, with a schedule of 7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch, totaling 35 hours per week.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Active Louisiana DOE Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with K-12 students requiring special education services
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively (specific caseload and school assignment to be determined)
