Special Ed Teacher | Killeen, Texas

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Killeen, TX, serving elementary and middle school students in self-contained classrooms. This contract role requires dedication to supporting K-12 students with special needs, providing tailored instruction that fosters growth and learning.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction in self-contained classrooms for elementary and middle school grade levels
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student goals
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and support services to enhance student success
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Qualifications:

• Active Texas certifications including either: • EC–12 Special Education AND EC–6 Core, or • EC–12 Special Education AND 4–8 Generalist
• Experience working in self-contained special education settings preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to work full time, 40 hours per week
• Ready to begin a quick start process with a targeted start date of May 29, 2025
